My best guess is around 85k

I am 53k empty intheory can load to 140k every state.
Trailer doesn’t have quite enough neck to load the steer to 20k - so I think 18k is about it. So 138k gross leaves about 85k net.

with a flip 4th I could get an extra 6k in nM and AR and 10k in TX.

but I don’t have one and am not sure I want one given the maturity of this trailer

Yea without the supercharger or blower as some call it , it would never even start. The addition of a turbo was good for when the rpm’s got down and the blower couldn’t supply the air needed….

You could always join the exclusive lightweight club with me and @singlescrewshaker (the pinky stinky salmon I think is the correct name now :p).

Lol, I would love to go really lite. Problem is I'm spoiled. I like my trailer. I like my HP. I like my WB.....etc. I have a real hard time giving that up, but hey, never know what the future holds.

    Lol, right.
Unfortunately, not an option. I live in lumber land. You scale in and scale out. That way they make sure your loaded up good. Alot of the loads I do in-between though are lighter. I have no problem at all finding loads now. However, that can all change tomorrow. It's hard to compete in a down market with trucks that can scale close to 50k. I would just feel better if I could scale 48k. That way I'm not starting off the conversation with, "can you drop some weight off that"? In the short term, I could loose some chains and shut off a tank. I could prolly load 48k then. However, I wouldn't have any wiggle room....like......at all.

You all can load heavy. With this set up, can only get 42k on the trailer.

They need to stop loading drivers that aren't even supposed to have a CDL.
