Yeah, nothing like popping over a hill with the setting sun lighting up the desert the way it does. Just something that has to be seen to understand.

Something is seriously wrong with me though. I'm deadheading to L.A. to load Monday. Sitting here in Gallup contemplating if I would prefer the taste of lead or steel.

Hunter is great if you drive on flat smooth roads. MD will adjust for the crown of the roads. Im betting toe is fine. But drive axle thrust angles are off.

Find a MD alignment shop. They are worth gold. You can do a generic alignment buy getting axles square under the truck. Then bring drives slightly closer to eachother on driverside to hug the crown.

Ideally a good alignment will allways drift right over a long distance. This is actually engineered for a driver that falls asleep or has a medical. Keeps the truck out of on coming traffic. Well thats what I was taught.

Shop I used to work for went to the MD alignment in house about 2004. I first hand guarantee that thier theory works. Just need to find a reputable shop who is well trained. We were even doing big multi axle cranes like @BigBob410 operates.

Did this yesterday. Cummins spent 20k on the aftertreatment system under warranty. On a primarily highway unit. I ain't.

 

I was unloading a bed at 4. Super 8 for the night. Radium tomorrow.
