If it has never been registered in your state before. Your going to have to take it in for a Vin check. Depending on the area, the sherif will come to you to do it.

Honestly, I would pick up the phone and call the state. That way your getting it from the horses mouth.

I had to take mine to the DMV, they did a Vin check, checked the release and sale from the lein holder. Provide them with the MC# for your company so you don't have to pay sales tax. Sign the title in front of them. They gave me a temporary and sent the new title in my name in the mail.

 

Ok . Thanks for the info. Would it be better to title the truck under my llc ? Instead of titleing it to me personally?
