Thanks. I hate having to idle all night for heat, so I'm thinking pretty seriously about going the generator route. I don't need an apu because I go out & back and very rarely have to idle for ac in the summer. Tractor supply has a 2000 watt Champion for $479.00.

I didn't use it long term. But had a big bunk w900 company truck with Espar heater. You wanted to get it going a ahead of time to get a nice regulated temp. It would cook you out of the truck if you had it turned up and went to sleep. 3 hours in you could slow cook dinner. At -20/30 below ran it going down the road to keep ice off the inside of windows. Dont have alot of experience with it, but worked well and if I needed axillary heat only I would try it more.

That used w900 big studio sleeper with a sunroof was just as drafty as a worn out freightliner.

I've thought about one. I think I'm going to try the generator route and if I don't like it then I will get a espar. I can always use the generator for other things.

I dont have all the parts, but some. It time for my doors to be removed and completely rebuilt. And change every single part. When renewed they are ok. Lol
