Whoa boss!! I tried holding my ears closed reading these. But I'd see red and make bank off their Hugh Janus.

I didn't want to say anything cause the deal isn't 100% done yet but I'm bored in a hotel room and have questions.

This new truck the brake pedal is hard to push.

    Think unassisted hydro brakes.

Truck has disc on it and so does dad's so I know how they should feel so to speak. However the ole red classic and the 579 are all firewall mounted brake pedals. This one's floor mounted.

Am I just not used to needing to put my foot higher up on the pedal on this truck and that's making me think it's stiff or if on the drive home it stays stiff no matter where I press it from what am I looking at first to diagnose?

I seem to recall the hanging pedals are a little easier to push. If it requires a large amount of effort to push it could be a seizing pivot pin. Worst case scenario maybe have to replace the valve assembly.

That's what I'm betting on, me not pushing it high enough. Not that big of a deal to change the pedal if I have to. Already plan to convert it to the floor mounted throttle instead of the hanging one.

Must be a Sterling or a KW with a firewall mounted throttle?

And that's why they got $900M of debt and took a $700M China Flu "Loan" AFTER the gubment discovered they'd been cooking the books on DOD freight they hauled for years. Their pension is up to 50% now I believe from the 25% they voted for to save the company years ago....total clown show top to bottom.
