Sigh. I've hauled this kid since grade 2. I'd rather be hauling trucks again. Could almost set fire to one conscience clear.

Would those be the ones that got stuffed into lockers and dumped into garbage cans head first when I was in school? Asking for a friend.

Not my neighbor. She's awesome, totally self-sufficient. If you, no kidding, can't answer when she asks "what do you prefer for EDC?" the conversation is over.

 

She reminds me of a female friend that rides with me. I will ask her if she has 1 in the chamber and she will ask me why I am asking her dumb questions.

Stupid Pet Tricks
“Son, what are you doing?”
I am about to go to the gym.
“Michael is here.”
Who is Michael?
“Your sister’s boyfriend.”
Why are you telling me? I don’t care.
“He drove 3 hours to see her and she is out with her girlfriends.”
Does she know he’s here?
“Yes, she’s the one that asked him to come.”
OMG! This boy needs help! I am on my way!

(I get to mom’s house, this kid is sitting sad faced on the couch.)

What time do you go to work tomorrow?
“7am.”
It’s 9pm. If I were you, I would go home.
“I drove all this way to see her. If I could see her just for 5 minutes…”
Ugh. I used to be young and stupid. Tell you what…here’s a pillow and a blanket. Get some sleep. When my sis realizes that you didn’t wait up, she’s going to be pissed. She’s going to unload on you and you will drive back home pissed off. Don’t come back.

(Sis comes rolling in at 1am, sees this kid asleep, got pissed, woke him up and unloaded on him. He drove back home angry. But the very next day…)

“Son, what are you doing?”

“Yes, and he wrecked his car too.”
(sigh) I am on my way.

Did I not tell you not to come back?
“She called me and apologized, baby baby, please come see me…”

“There was gravel on the road and…”
It’s pure interstate between you house and here. There is no gravel on the interstate. You went to sleep at the wheel and went on a field trip. No need to lie to me. She has you doing stupid pet tricks and she and her friends are laughing. Sit down, roll over play dead. You should never do this.

(Long story short, mom made her come home and they went out. They married. My sister was the swan in her duck pond. Michael was everything that women say they want. Tall, young, good looking, successful, SENSITIVE…

…meaning he would tell her when he was upset, cry on her shoulder and bare all of his feelings to her. Want to know what she did with that info? Made his big arse cry some more. He cried to my mom about her treatment, and mom reprimanded her. It was a disaster. I am glad there were no children involved.

 

Man, times have sure changed. If, If, I had done that back in the day, the bus driver would have physically tossed me off the bus to walk. Then, If, If, I decided to actually go to school, I would have been suspended and sent home, for at least a week, maybe two. BUT, the worst would have been the beating with a belt I would have gotten by my Pop. Then, after my ### and legs healed, I would have been made to apologize, in person, to the bus driver...
