There is remnants of an install, coax, a speaker wire and some wiring in the dash, the install part I don't think will be an issue. The right pieces to use and, maybe antenna location?

  3. First I need to ask is this your truck to dig into. Due to the fact you have some interior parts to pull out and then re-install.

    Yea,

It is my truck, it is pretty heavily modified at this point, I am starting on the interior now. I am going to pull the dash to repair a number of holes and repaint it, it is peeling all over.

I saw that. Hell of a place to have a truck catch fire.

I'm unloading tomorrow at Vandenberg and then I should be picking up a rock drill in West Sacramento either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.

  9. The brilliant people who installed the factory coax/bnc connector for dual connection of cb and radio antenna.

go-to cb shop get a nice 16' section of good quality antenna cable.

You will need about 6' -7' of black grounding wire. ( The side of the sleeper being aluminum, grounding is piss poor)

Run a ground wire from your antenna to the chassis or a true ground point on truck. You might find a ground wire under sleeper. We will get to this later.

On your driver side sleeper wall and cabinet. You will need to remove your shelve unit to access the padded wall section behind it. Use a ziplock bag and put all screws in it. Once you move shelves and are able to access the back side of the antenna mount. Here is where the factory coax is unscrew it from mount. While you are here strip a long section of ground wire so as to wrap around the base of your antenna mount to ground it to the steel of the truck.loosen a washer slide wire under and tighten. You can run this ground wire down behind the wall to the under bunk storage area. Now with your new CB shop coax hook it up and keeping it level run it to the interior section above the drivers door. This will help feed it into the backside of the storage pockets above driver seat. Run this cable flat all the way to passenger side then back to driver side untill you have all your cable layed out. Push the connector thru the hole where the cb.is mounted. Check the tightness of all mounting bolts and replace inner bunk wall and shelve unit.
U can use the stock red and black spin nuts for power. Unless you have a more power hungry cb. Mount a fire stick(keeps antenna from being hit from .proturding above truck). It needs to be tunable also. . Go have antenna tuned by cb shop . unless you have a meter to do this your self. Hook up power cord and mic. And give it a shout.
