When you try for a PR, do you go at it contest style or your normal routine?

EDIT: At a bench contest, the best warmup you’re gonna get will usually be push-ups. When I am in the gym to get a PR on military, I move up quickly. 2 sets, 10 reps 135, 225x1, 315x1, rep out 3 sets with 225 then switch to dumbbells.

Usually I just go with how I'm feeling in the moment. I always do 8-12 reps at around 35-40% of my 1RM at a minimum. If I'm pumped and in the zone I'll jump right up to around 80-90% and see how it feels. If I can pull 2 reps pretty easily I'll take a 2 minute rest then just go for the PR.

If I'm not really feeling it I'll just gradually add weight over 3 or 4 sets, then go for it. Usually if I go within an hour or 2 of finishing work I'm relatively warmed up and ready before I even walk in the gym.

I tend to not sit around much between working sets. 1 minute max.

Looking for a good way to blow snow, on up to 25% grades, from a heated cab.
Considering a skidsteer, with blower attachment.

    Questions.

    1. Is a skidsteer good for blowing snow with?

    2. If answering yes, what is a good Skidsteer, and also brand of snowblower to use?

    3. Size of machine required to provide enough power, and hydraulic flow?
