Agreed. If I could find one not rusted out. I'd drive it everyday. Found one a year ago. Red, red interior. I dont like red.

Love it when you walk out to your pickup to go home and see there's fruit punch leaking out under it. Guess I'll be changing a rad hose this weekend :(

This is no joke. I met the ex wife first, then worked with the ex husband for about 2 weeks only. Second hand info. But story matched. He was a paint and body guy. Had bought the wife a new chevette. Got drunk and cut it in half and extended it. Between the doors. Think a chevette limo. I hear it was a nice job, but was still making payments on it. Two of few reasons for divorce.

Buddy from school, his parents had a gremlin. They gave it to him when his mom got a new one. That car would not die. Finally met it’s end when another friend rolled it down an embankment. No one injured, the body held up.

In this weather check your hose clamps. The freeze thaw cycle plays heII with stretching the clamps.

first new vehicle I bought fresh from the dealership was a1987 cheby s10. V6 with a 5sp straight drive. Ran that thing for 10yrs put about 175k on it, ran like a scalded dog. Replaced slave cylinder is all outside of tires, batt, etc. one of the best gm trucks for me at the time. Even at 18yrs old, ####### me couldn’t kill it. My sister got in a hit and run and it totaled it. Bet it COULD still me functional today if still kickin.

I wish it were that simple. All these newer vehicles use those stupid plastic elbows that are permanently crimped to the hose. Not sure if its just the o-ring that's leaking or the crimp. It was -30 and I had no interest in laying in the snow longer than I had to. Coolant tank still had liquid in it and that was good enough for me.

Its leaking out somewhere on that plastic 45 elbow. At first I thought it was the water pump until I crawled under. Got this pic of it off Google.

Looks like the o-rings are like $15. Probably just replace the o-ring and call it good if that's what's leaking.
