Forklift driver in Wapakoneta, Ohio claimed to see a family of Big Foots in the woods behind his moms house. He told me this asking if I knew anything about trapping.
A week later he was fired for doing heroin at work. Passed out on fork lift in gear.

So many "youngsters" in todays world have no idea what they are missing if they didn't grow up with this IMO. Courtesy, respect for others, work ethic, honor, self respect, basic manners.
Good on your father for passing on what apparently was passed on to him and good on you for passing it on to your own son.
Prayers for you and your family and respect and peace to your father.singlescrewshaker, cke, Speedy356 and 13 others Thank this. -

LOL, I'll try to keep it short, typing it and talking about it are 2 different things.
First encounter was my brother and I on my grandparents farm in NE Oklahoma. Around 1973-74ish, I was 12 or 13, brother a year younger. The farm was 120 wooded acres and I'm sure in your travels Six you probably know where I'm talking about. Just NE of twin bridges on Hwy 60, north of Wyandotte, north end of Grand Lake, had a creek running through it.
We were down on the creek one evening setting limb lines (fishing), on the SW end of the property. I was just sitting there and watching my brother set the line and I started hearing noises in the leaves behind us up over a small hill. Didn't pay much attention to it cause of squirrels and birds and such. When he finished we were done and started heading back to the house as the sun was setting.
As we are walking we could hear something walking along with us back up over that hill. I told my brother c'mon, lets start running. As we ran we stopped a couple of times and whatever was running along with us didn't know we were going to stop and took a couple of more steps both times, you could hear it in the leaves.
That was enough for me, I shagged ass back to the house, my brother kept saying "wait, I wanna see what it is", LOL.
When I got back to the house and ran through the front door the adults were playing cards and mom asked me what was wrong because I looked like I had just seen a ghost, plus breathing really hard after running a half mile didn't help either, LOL.
Dad and my Uncle took us back down to the creek in the dark to show us there was nothing down there to be scared of and that was that.
Second encounter I was by myself squirrel hunting with my grandfathers Border Collie. I was on the SE end of the property this time. I was walking along and through the trees I saw a HUGE figure running. The dog was going crazy but wouldn't leave my side.
I was curious, it was the afternoon so plenty of daylight and I had my grandfathers dog and my trusty .22 with me so I went to investigate. When I got to where I thought I saw this figure there was nothing there. I'll never forget that smell that so frequently comes up with Bigfoot stories, it was awful, sour, worse than a skunk.
Anyway, that's the short version without the hand gestures, LOL.

On behalf of the rest of the staff of TTR you have our condolences.
IMHO if you have kids I think the best way to honor your father’s memory is to instill in them the same values he gave you.singlescrewshaker, cke, Speedy356 and 13 others Thank this.
