Alright.

My oops from yesterday has been remedied, hole back filled and I marked the location of the pipe.

I'm going to keep the stump remedy simple. Cut it down just below ground level and grade over it to put it out of sight and mind.

 

@TripleSix , I found out today that Cochrans sold out to Loves. The story I was told was that there was only 1 of the brothers left who started it and he was ready to retire. None of the kids or grandchildren were interested in running it.

 

Looks like I had multiple problems.


Tossed on a new switch after my guy said they were a common failure for what I described.

Now everything works except they don't return home. Flash marker light button, and high work now. So it's possible that the motor has lost where park is.

On the important stuff I'm pretty content firing a parts cannon at it. I replaced my motor and linkage bushings as preventative due to age. Sure I could have carried around the motor until it died, but you know how salt spray can eff your world up if the washers or wipers don't work.

 

That was my point.

Weird, my father inlaw is a area switcher for power company. Level of electrical that I shudder hearing about. Switcher/substation mechanic.

 

Drank a few red pops down there in my 20's. Never heard of that. Once lost a buddy for 3 days at Athens party.

 

Oh man id rather smash a deer then one of those big horned frickin things. Almost hit a couple last year around plains area. They just stand right in the middle of the road and dont move
