Join the club. Woke up to -16° and wind howling. Heat on high and wearing a coat and beanie. Frigging cold!

On a side note. Thought I grenaded my trans. Making all kinds of racket. Pulled over and didn't see anything leaking of busted. So I got under the back between truck and trailer. When I did I wacked my melon. Thought...wtf. The little heym joint that connects the Leveling valve arm to the rod broke off going down the road. Why....because it was cold as hell, frost heaves and it was made of plastic. Who thought that was a good idea. Sitting in the parking lot of the Albert Lea KW in -4° putting on a new one. The $23 beats the heck out of the cost of a new trans. Scared the heck outta me for a bit there. Inside warming up now. Lost feeling in my figures. Almost done though.

I'm kinda jealous. I've always wanted one. Yet I've never owned a mower. Hopefully don't have to start anytime soon. Those are pretty sweet machines though. You gonna restore it or run it as is?

The temps you guys are talking about makes the 27 degrees here this morning feel like T-shirt weather.

Well, thought I would go next door for a bite to eat since I was already stopped. Darn good, but pretty pricey. Thanks sleepy Joe.

Freezing rain has a bunch of roads and highways closed up here today. Started raining yesterday afternoon and turned everything into a skating rink by evening and this morning. Got a couple loads hauled before everything turned to crap, and gonna stay put until things are better out there.

I just can't catch a break right now. Bounced south to Houston to drop off a Harley that I picked up in Minnesota last week. Spent 4 days at home with the family and had a great weekend . Get to Houston and offload the Harley. Tuesday morning I grab a good paying load to Kansas with a return trip to Houston from the same location. En route to pick up the load and it cancels with no explanation. So, on to the next load. Found another short haul back to Dallas that paid $3,200 for an OS/OW load that was super easy. I get on-site to load and the crew on-site said they would only put the load on an RGN and not my triple axle step deck. Well crap. Get another load that was paying good to Raleigh, NC and show up to load and they had loaded it on the truck in front of me. The truck in front of me was only supposed to get half and I had the other half. He didn't know what he was picking up so he thought he was getting all of it. Sheesh. Head to the Flying J in North Houston at I-45 and Richey Rd. and I reserved a Prime Parking spit for the night because it was only 2 miles away from the next load I snagged for this morning. Get to the Flying J only to find all of the Prime Parking spots are full and the store manager or security won't make anyone move who didn't pay. Refund for parking takes 3-5 business days. As I'm leaving another truck pulls out in front of me opening up a free spot. Backed in and shut it down and head in to shower. Then the night goes from bad to "I'm ready to commit a homicide." Come out from the shower ready to relax and find my fuel caps hanging loose and about 280 gallons missing. F*** Somebody cleaned me out and didn't spill a single drop of fuel. These are professionals with a fuel pump, batteries and hoses and enough fuel storage to empty both tanks in under 45 minutes without anyone wondering why they are lingering around between trucks in the dark. I say "F" this place, "F" this whole city and I'm leaving with the 15 gallons or so in my left tank. I'm not paying for fuel at Flying J based on principal. Get rolling to a fuel stop to fill it up again and my drain on my fuel/water separator breaks and starts leaking out my 15 gallons and I run out of fuel 0.6 miles away from my fuel stop. I'm still sitting on the side of TX-105 in Conroe right now waiting on Napa to bring me a fuel filter.

I'm done with this day and this whole week. I'm going home unless I find something that pays astronomical. Hope y'all have a better go at it this week than I have. Be safe out there.

That's the icing on the cake.

Seems like whenever I have a good round put together something always comes up. Either I get held up and can't make the reload or it cancels without even a simple call from the broker.
