Well, doesn't matter now. None in stock and none in paccar inventory. Might look online later. I'm usually not away from the truck long. Definitely not overnight. So, I don't see folks trying to drill it out while I'm in the shower. That would make folks look twice. Best thing to do is just stay out of those situations. Which I do a pretty good job at. However, sometimes you dont have any other options. I just see things getting much worse. As inflation goes up and folks see their money doesn't go very far. Not to mention items that just can't be found. I'm trying hard to make some very big changes in my life. I just don't see the immediate future being very good.

Well, I'm screwed. When they took the drain plug out, there was another wad of metal on it. When they pulled the pumpkin, the shims were laying in the bottom of the housing. So......they have a new one on the way. They are saying I won't be outta here until Tuesday now.....at best. So, I'm gonna go get a pickup from them and find a hotel room. Swell.

I had locking fuel caps once, they ended up in the side box not long after I bought them. They were nothing but a headache in the winter, locks always freezing up.

A pipe wrench will take them off easily, and then you risk having a tank damaged. Sometimes it’s better to let the low life’s have it without a fight.

Laredo is definitely another one of those places where truck stop crime/theft is a major problem just like Houston and parts of Dallas.

It makes me mad that the one time I give Houston a chance it burns me. I'll go back to my old way of loading, unloading and leaving. I'm not buying another drop of fuel in that city.

Thanks man. I'm trying to be positive now that yesterday is over. I have fuel, the trucks running and I am out of Houston. The trucking lifestyle is already stressful enough and hard on our minds and bodies. No need to make myself sick and unable to work and support my family. I'll be okay. I talked to my wife and son last night and they calmed me down. I think I'm gonna go make an impulse buy and get something shiny and chrome to make myself feel better. Haha. Time for some new air cleaner lights. Y'all be safe.

Put a hold on a 2022 Wilson Aluminum Flat, with front lift axle and air scale.

Go back in tomorrow to do further fisticuffs with the salesman.

Last time I was in Houston I knew I was gonna get out late. So I seen a big newer truck stop that was almost empty. so I stopped on the way back. It was the cheapest fuel around. Place was new, had a huge paved lot and like 25 trucks in it. So I stop and get fuel. Then park and go in for a shower. Guy asked if I already parked. Yup I says. Then made me parking permit that needed to be in my window. then wanted to charge me for a shower. Really? I just spent almost $700 and I can't park and shower?.....wtf. so I tossed my crap back in the truck and walked down to the waffle house. I'm not gonna pay to park or shower when I bought fuel....on principle.
There ended up only being like 50 trucks there the whole night. Place was deserted. Then the tow trucks literally made rounds about every other hour. Just sad. Never again. I think it was a fuelmaxx or something. Huge and new with a huge lot. O'well.
