No I agree, age doesn’t always mean anything. But when it comes to a mechanical engine, a man that understands that engine will take it a lot farther….

Yes and no. Fleets that trade at 400k-500k don't care about longevity and most of their maintenance programs reflect that with crazy extended drain intervals and such. Also, engines 22 years ago weren't forced to eat their own waste to satisfy EPA/CARB standards....which look good on paper. But if a "dirtier" engine can burn less fuel in it's life, is it really "dirtier"? Typical smoke and mirror logic by those who were appointed to save us from ourselves.

Man, what a night. Got the truck washed in Dalton, Ohio at a self-service truck wash and finally got all of the road brine and salt off of everything. Good little wash called Dalton Car & Truck Wash. They take dollar bills and cards if you are ever through there on US-30.

Got fuel at the Loves in Belleville and hit the road. Now, I'm sitting on the side of I-71 SB at the 114MM waiting for a crash investigation to be completed. I was not involved but I saw the whole thing take place and the driver passed away at the hospital. She was ejected from the vehicle and alcohol was involved. She passed me doing 90mph+ and almost hit another International 9400 and then made contact with a wrecker with a Nissan on the hook. The car went out of control and flipped and started doing summersaults into the grass. This car went 20 feet in the air and flipped more than 6 times before coming to a stop. I provided aid to the driver as best I could until the EMS and Fire and Police arrived. Such a tragic loss of life on the roadways.

Please be safe out there drivers. Kiss your loved ones and hug them too.
