The downside of the heated wipers is your wearing out wipers during the summer. So your replacing expensive wipers so you can use them 2 months out of the year. Vs using the silicone wipers and heat strips. Silicone wipers work good year round. Just something to think about. Nothing is perfect.

No place to scale it on the way home. Plus I want to wait until I've got all of my securement equipment, tarps, etc onboard.

Which, that reminds me... Need to tarp shop.

I just hope I don't get stuck going back around to my parking area. Kind of muddy at the moment, should be fine if the ground stays frozen like it's been the past few days.

You know what's sad, is when you scale empty, then toss on all your crap and rescale......it will make you cry. My first words were....no ####ing way.......where.......how.

Don't worry, won't hear a peep out of me regarding where to buy tarps. I'd rather not buy any at all, but expectations vs reality.

My sentence was 10 years on the turnpike. We did have 3 shifts 24/7. But as service manager, heavy operator, mechanic. My work schedule was more of a wish list for time off. How ever most entertaining job I've ever had.

Weather update, only about 6 inches so far. Still coming down and now the wind is starting. I'm not even going to consider cleaning this up till its done.

Feeling like @singlescrewshaker infected me with his green phlegm via text. Thank pale. Back to watching it snow!

Hmm, I wonder what our Canadian or Alaskan drivers do/use for this situation?

When I ran from Seattle to Fairbanks the boss used 75% alcohol and 25% blue windshield cleaner. No ice, but it ate up the rubber tubing/componets. He said it was cheaper then sitting in side of the road fighting with the ice. That man knew how to winterize a truck!

Yeah, we didn't have shifts. We worked 5 on 2 off. So if it was your days to work....you worked them. It turned me into a bigger A-hole than I already was. You get in from a job that took 15 hours. Get your truck put away get about an hour sleep and guaranteed, someone else was calling. Not cool. I did mostly heavy wrecker, but I would do roll back if those guys were in need.
