One thing I love about this truck is there is a seat and lower back warmer in it. Keeps me moving when my arthritis would disagree.

If you are parked for the night can you pull them off and place then on the floor board to thaw? Does your w/s cleaner bottle slip off or is it that tucked up under the side of the truck model? You can get rubbing alchol at most truck stops in the medical necessities section.

This is what we got so far, plus 6/10” of ice under it. And still falling quickly FDD83F4B-5569-4BEA-9A96-17B8AEEE423D.jpeg

I'd never heard of heated wipers or heated windshields until I started up on this site. But I think the temps you run in make the difference. The worst is when it's right at the freezing point or slightly lower with snow, it tries to melt but the windchill freezes it to everything. Up here where it's mostly just bitter cold, we don't have those issues with ice sticking to the windshield or the wipers. The defrost will never heat your windshield above freezing at -20C unless you're parked, snow never sticks driving down the highway.

With the cold here, snow is so fine it usually just blows past the windshield.

Put the whole shebang on a toggle switch either way so I can make sure it's off in the summer.

I sold a few of those in my parts man days. Loves didn't have em though. Frame blades I have are practically new but going to try the beam to get a little wiggle out of it to maybe help.

Mounted to firewall solidly, and they aren't frozen solid. Just accumulate ice in a rather short period of time.

This is the problem I was having. Between road spray and wet snow it'd just build up and stick to everything. Stop for 15 minutes and the defrost would thaw it enough to be able to wipe it clean. When it was just sleeting I didn't have any issues.

Do I need the heated wipers? No prolly not. But for the money why not have and not need them instead of sleeping at the truck stop 460 miles from the house because I couldn't keep the window clean.

Gonna get a real nice bath when I get home and thawed out. Also gotta replace the outside air temp sensor. I know #### well it's not 120° out there

I found that keeping the window cold when in falling snow and your side windows cracked a bit with heat on your feet works best. If the snow doesn't melt on the glass then it won't stick on the glass and blades.
You might consider treating the windshield inside with an anti-fog.
