I'm the same way at the range. Thankfully my home range is in a hick town and its rare there's ever anyone else around. I'll usually pop off 50-150 rounds, clean up and go home. Usually takes me an hour or so.

Ive had some barrel burners before. I used to love to shoot Prarie dogs. Still would if we had them here. Granted, I could drive half a day and be in some. Anywho, after a day of shooting you could actually see the throat wear. Now I mostly just shoot 223. Cheap, accurate and fun. I would like a 408 chey tac though. Maybe next year. I did buy into the 6.5 hipster craze and I really like it. 6.5s have been around for along time and they're fun. Thought about a 6.5 Grendel in an AR.
