I have no experience with the f150,but the Mustang has a plug by the air box that looks out of place and if unplugged it turns off tc and advancedtrac.
If you google “Ford advancedtrac disabler “. You’ll see a guy on Facebook selling a harness. Supposedly it breaks the signal from both front wheel speed sensors.

Ran 75w gear oil in mine when I had to put a pilot bearing in it. Made it alot quieter, it was a bit stiffer on cold mornings until the engine got some eat in the case and the fluid heated up. Basically give it an extra 5 or 10 minutes idle in the morning and you'll not notice much difference in the feel.
Noise reduction was night and day.
Also the big issue with them @shooter19802003 is busted cases. They aren't meant to be used in trucks that make the numbers and pull what those trucks can. They were used in medium duty trucks that made less than 300hp and around 850ftlbs so trucks over here could easily eat them up if even slightly modified.Crusader66, Flint1, jamespmack and 9 others Thank this. -
Liberty City, TX

I'd say almost none. But I'm not a lugger, I have no problem let'n her spin. Even while empty my light weight was about ~18,700lbs, so unless the ground was flat, I liked to turn 1700rpm or more..
When i bobtail around home, if you rounded a corner in 3rd she'd growl at you just a little to let you know you were being lazy.. lol. Stereo volume about quarter way up, I'd never hear it..
+ as far as know it doesn't really hurt anything internally, people are just big babies. It's a diesel pickup, they're supposed rattle a bit here or there.. lolCrusader66, Flint1, cke and 9 others Thank this. -
Rumor has it people like swapping the G56 out for an NV4500 due to the case issue, since the NV’s have cast iron cases.Crusader66, cke, jamespmack and 7 others Thank this.

Even the 50wt made it a little slow to shift below ~30°f..
I'd put the transfer case stick in neutral, put the G in 6th, & let go of the clutch. Ten mins later it was good to go.. lolCrusader66, Flint1, cke and 10 others Thank this. -

I actually thought about turning mine down. The commercial tune that is available turns down the hp and Torque. Supposedly prolongs the life of the truck considerably. I've not really done much with it though. I don't put very many miles on it. I think I do like 7k a year......or so.cke, jamespmack, MACK E-6 and 6 others Thank this.
