Looks good, but where are you? I see green. This is my current view, on it drags, as usual...

It's maxxforce N13 according to the seller.
It's just crazy to imagine an engine being junk with 375k miles on it but it wouldn't surprise me a bit!

I'm in Southern Oregon, and unlike for you poor souls in the frozen wasteland, it's pretending to be Spring here...for now.

I don’t think it’s a Paccar. International did have a bunch of licenses for Cat engine designs.
Back in the dusty part of the warehouse of my brain, something says that the Maxxforce was a combination of Cat and DT engines and massive EGR system. They spent a lot of money on it, both in engineering and law/legal actions. One of the things they said was the increased ammonia emissions was unstudied and was unknown for reactions to the atmosphere. Well they did have some truth in that. Now that SCR is 10 years old here in the US, they are finding high levels of ammonia around highways and industrial sites. Not a lot of detailed studies on this yet, some are in the works, but nothing extensive has been published.

Soon we'll have an aftertreatment for the aftertreatment system.

In 2015, the N13 should have had changed over to a DEF system by then.
It was a much improved in reliability, but the reputation of the mass EGR engine more or less about killed the brand. If this has been modified by removing emissions system. Run away. The EPA/xARB have been going after people who do/have modified the emissions systems. The fines are huge.

It has a Def tank but the previous owner hasn't had to fill it for quite some time.

I wouldn't trade a wooden nickel for one. Keep the trailer. It won't breakdown as much.
