No, it’s on a gen set here in Florida at the auction. There’s a 8V here that sounds good when it fired up today…!!

 

The one thing I do know. The reason the Gen sets and boats have a higher Hp rating is due to constant load, constant rpm. These road engines are capable of much more than OEM stock. But the ocean dont have hills, and water doesn't get thicker.

Well being technical, it does freeze. But that a different state.

Yes the constant even pull makes a difference….. but you can beef them up if you take care of it. Many get a hold of a hot engine and all they know is keep that right foot against the radiator….
