I'll make it short. Was helping buddy and his new wife get everything out of hotel morning after wedding to get them to the airport. Hands me both of their carry on bags, I see 2 wine openers with the tiny knives on them. I just dropped them in the bag.

I was also the guy who left wedding to go purchase multiple wine openers because no one thought to have any.

He was sure surprised checking in at airport.

So the TWIC card number on your is used when you book the airplane ticket - in the known flyer number field. This will cause the pre check notation and allow you to use the benefit at the airport.

and yes - a valid HAz Mat endorsement also qualifies- I believe you use your Drivers License number when you book.

All 3 use the same background check - so all are valid.
