The nice thing about 40, though, is you can take US 70 if you have a CB radio on and get the word early enough to get off and continue on. :)

Which is what I did. And there was an accident there too. There were just soo .any trucks and off course they were all in a hurry. Passing in blind curves and such. People suck.

Nick's is good eating. They have other parking up there, if you want to eat there, but it sounds like you only wanted to eat there and not spend the night there waiting for breakfast which is good, too. :)

And that reply to Mobee would serve you well, too. Have CB will help, and take US 70, it goes right by the back side of Nick's. :)

Yeah, I took 70 across the levy road back to 40. There was a 2 Mile backup on that big bridge over the river. Sucked.

You'd think ELD would be a reason for them to drive normal and have a reason for not being able to cheat the clock anymore. I think it's more about being inconsiderate in general, but that's starting to get into philosophy which...I don't want to get into. :)

I honestly don't know the reason. I just know it's not the same as when I started. If I knew a better way to make a living I would. My personality holds me back from working with people. I do think eld has alot to do with it though. Everyone is racing the clock. I just take my time and do my thing. I don't get into a hurry and I don't do very many miles.

You see, that's what I mean by philosophy. I let people go in front of me, as long as they don't slam on the brakes..and I back up. No load/job is worth that kind of stress. Hell, I retired from a much more stressful job. I usually don't have a problem when I drive..except when I wait for dispatch to get me a load, the shipper to load me and the reciever to get it off me. Otherwise, I don't have to interact with anyone...it's beautiful. :):biggrin_255:

I had to edit this to finish it, because my laptop keyboard is getting a mind of it's own. :(
