Problem is they do know and don't care. They are watching their bottom line, you watch yours. I have thought that there ought to be a cap on how much of the load they can pocket.

Because I didn't willingly leave? When you hit my age and situation, you might figure it out. One reason is the wife looking at me wondering why she still has to work and I don't. THAT alone, is reason enough.

Not enough money currently, is another. Pension only goes so far before the inflation ate up the 'buffer' I had, and the savings that are not supposed to be touched, got touched. When you hit my age, maybe the wisdom will come with it. :)

That doesn't look like such a bad situation...unless the depth perception of your camera is off, that looks like a very doable and easily manuevered parking situation.

Well, the term 'retire comfortably' comes to mind. I wasn't ready to come off road when I did, and have been trying to get back out, but something keeps pulling me back from doing it. Most of the main problems at home have been taken care of for now, health problems have mostly been dealt with, so...now or never, I ain't getting any younger. :)

Yeah, the depth perception is off. On these new phones you can zoom out to .5x. So it's roughly half the distance it looks. Almost like a fish eye, but without the distortion. I had to jockey a bit. Not only that, but why was it a good idea to park perpendicular behind the row of trucks? Wtf?

Because he couldn't find another spot and didn't want to keep driving around in circles extending his ELD time in motion? Not a fan of that either, but...then again, I do knock/beat on the door when his convenience interferes with mine.

I've pounded on a few doors, but I try not too. I get it in a way, your tired and need to park. However, at what point do you just say no?

I did my fishing when I was young and could ride my bike out to the local jetty. Now, if it doesn't have drive up access...it's out. :)
