I had one of those as well as the shorter Scout ll. Tough as nails, and that International V8 is full of torque….

I love scouts. You just don't see too many of them. My grandma had the shorter scout. My uncle borrowed it to take ice fishing and sank it in the lake. Lol

Edit: hers had the removable top, like the old broncos did. Had alot of good memories in that as a kid.

Back when they still built decent trucks. Imo, the 70s were the best era for trucks.

Tore into the truck today to replace injector harnesses today.

    Found this

    20220323_211944.jpg

Had to weld the nut on it to get a heel bar on it to pry it up out of the head.

Luckily he had one on hand already.

Isn't the cause of the miss but the pass-through getting oil into it forcing me to replace it lead to finding this before it became a major problem.

A cyl 6 missfire and cyl contribution codes were all I had.

Replaced the cluster with a used unit and still have temp sensor issue. Had other things happen that were likely due to the cluster failing so not all is lost with replacing it anyway.

If it ain't broke, keeping fixing it until it is! Every simple task I set out to do seems to involve 54 hidden additional steps and a week of parts deliveries.
