Hopefully he disinherited the low life’s and left his money to a local, reputable charity. Nothing gripes me more in life than people who believe they are entitled to something just because they exist.

My first thought was the same as yours, but I had to remind myself that the man raised the little ########.

Attorney said on the QT, that they received nothing with this will. There was an account for him to be buried, but that will have to wait until probate court for me to be reimbursed.

No, he always thought it was up to him to bring home the cash. He did that very well, but at the expense of having relationships with this kids. All of that was left to his wife, good, bad or indifferent, that was the roles they played.

I came off of the road when our child was born. I had always said that if we had children then I would quit the long distance running. I expected to drive local or return to foodservice. As it turned out I ended up in a decent local manufacturing job, and have remained in production through my current position.

I do not regret the decision as it gave me the opportunity to be involved with my children’s lives. I may not have been the best dad but I tried. At some point I did realize that chasing dollars should not be the main focus of your life.

Exactly. We all have choices and determine what our priorities are. When my oldest was born I stopped otr and went to the oilfield. I got benefits and I was 2/2. It gave me alot of time home. Plus it was better money than I make now even....plus benefits that I've never had. Then I got laid off again. So I went back to trucking full time. We are now selling our house....Again and downsizing......again. so I can be where the freight is and make money while being home more and cutting our bills so I don't have to work as hard. Hopefully close on that place in 2 weeks. Then start the moving process. Sometimes, you gotta do the things in life you don't want to. All the money in the world isn't worth a crap if your a weekend dad and your kids grow up to be deviants because you chose not to be there to raise them.

It is now spring/summer here in Texas where the temps are creeping into the 90's. With this warming the snakes are out, the scorpions are out in the evening and those darn fire ants never got away. I would strongly encourage you to sleep in your vehicle and not under the picnic table awning. Something, unfriendly, will bite you.

And really, how do you sleep on concrete?
