Yeah, that was pretty much my first thought to. What a waste. Reminds me of some of those cash for clunkers videos. The ones where they had to make the engine in-op. Just sad.

Thats pretty cool. A selfloading flat would be pretty nice to have. The only real good thing about the crap situation we are in these days is, more folks are restoring and bringing old iron back to life.CAXPT, BigBob410, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this.

Suppose to move a a Cat excavator from job site to another today for a customer, thing is it’s in town where I can’t get my lowboy. So I had to become more versatile to compete and not lose certain jobs. That’s why I put the pintle hitch on my bucket of bolts. I can go areas now with a tag a long trailer I can’t with my lowboy.
He has a dozer to move too, but I have no means to get any of my equipment in to that housing development where it needs to go. I’ve taken the excavator in and out with the tag a long, and that is a chore in itself! But the job is on a dead end street, and the dozer would hurt the asphalt tramming it down in there. But a rollback can work the corner and get in there.
He is hiring another company with a tandem roll back to move the Dozer. I don’t move enough equipment in tight areas to justify going out and buying a $75K Rollback truck for one job every 2 months. But I can build one in spare time if I so desire…..

When I was a kid we'd leapfrog old tires on the county road under one track while the old timer walked the ditch line with the other and laughed at us as we grew tired.
Longest we ever went was a bit over a mile, pretty exhausted after that especially when the guy running the dozer was seeing how fast he could go just to screw with us!DeereRunner97, Isafarmboy, Swine hauler and 10 others Thank this. -
I think the ability to be flexible and offer diverse services is going to be key in the future. I think your on the right track and your gonna be better off in the long run.DeereRunner97, AModelCat, cke and 5 others Thank this.

I regret not being able to look on FB. I killed my account there years ago as it is nothing but a stalker's paradise, a government research tool, an attempt at peer pressure group-think(Borg), a security nightmare, and a complete waste of valuable time and information, mine. Got out to keep some semblance of peace in the family and friends area as we now see people being unfriended for their points of view. Sorry, don't need the grief.

However, anything you post here is viewed and appreciated.
