What's with the trailer?.....don't want to get your bed dirty?
Glad your making progress. I thought you became a statistic or something. Hadn't heard from you.

Idk if I got round 2 of rona or what but I felt like crap last 2 weeks.

And my tractor isn't big enough to pick it all up so trailer makes it so I can work on it and get the head off to swap onto mine and part it out to get my dollars back. And haul off whatever is left. Also it's a 5.5 foot bed. I don't think it would actually fit back there.

That sucks, glad to hear your doing better now though. So, you decided to just swap the head? Everything else looking good then? 5.5 ft bed? Heck, shoulda just bought a prius and saved money on fuel toting the trailer around. :p

Edit: where did you source the engine from?

I rebuilt the diff in one of my trade school instructor's pickups as part of a practical shop assignment. Said he was hauling a 444 Cummins in the bed when he hit a pothole and heard a crunch. Broke a bunch of teeth off the axle side gears and pinion gears. Might have been a little much for a 90's 3/4 ton lol.

Mechanic knew of the guy having it that I got it from. Picked it up about 20 miles from the house.

Yeah it's definitely heavier than I thought/was told it would be.

I think the old 3406 in my truck is around 3500 lbs. I hauled the bare block and crank to the machine shop on a trailer too. Didn't think my pickup would handle it.

These are supposed to be around 2500 or so. But I'm pretty sure it's still got oil in it.

You are an outsider, and they are treating you as such. Do you have any friends or family who can put some grease on the skids for you?
