Midnight cook’n??

 

Good morning from the Hillbilly…..

 

Yes Sir. Went up to my buddy Tony’s place and a few of us like minded guys just drank a little beer and stump water, and cooked a chicken, thick chunks of bacon, and a cast iron skillet of taters and onions on the open fire. Brake drum is only 16.5” but it’s big enough to cook on….

 

It is shaping up to be a good morning— except for the frost on the pumpkin— balmy 28

 

Naw, it’s had fire built in it so many times everything is burnt off. That thick cast really holds the heat too….

 

Oh my, I’m glad those colder days are pretty much over here. It was 89 here yesterday, and 65 this morning. Got the mowing done yesterday along with moving all the big rocks from a previous setting place yesterday. Now Mrs. Oldskool is putting in a small garden between the house and pool, which I’m all for…

 

We might hit the upper 50’s today— it’s been a really long month

 

At the house, which I never flipping see, it is going to be mid 80s to mid 90s this week. Little soon for that hot, even down here.
