Where is everyone #5

I completely forgot about this family restaurant here. I glad I did, now. !!

 

Actually the Petro south of here was my first choice, but, I was not paying attention and drove right on bye.

 

And that answered my question. I’m south of you just west of Richmond and I guess since you already ate and seem to be headed north and I’m headed East I’ll try and buy dinner next time. I’m going to meet some more of y’all sooner or later.

I've done it three times, docking the back box, and it was every bit of a 5 min process. I watched a seasoned road driver put the back box on a door, in a snow/ice covered lot and he made one pull-up, said he does it all the time. I was impressed to say the least.

Agreed. And a pintle behind a 5th? Not my idea of a fun day. One of the jobs was driving a leaf vac, and it was pintle mounted. I was probably the best at manuevering that single pintle when backing up, but agreed that folding was a constant problem...I have the patience for one pintle pivot, but not the second pivot.

 

Yuck, that place bit when I first hit OTR in 2008 and that was the first truck stop I'd hit on my maiden voyage. The guy I was convoy with lost his tire and had to get it fixed there, which meant I was on my own from there on. Oh the baptism of fire...but that place sucked in 08...don't recall being back but one other time since then.
