Any of y'all know this Pilot? Don't go here. The freaking set up is awful. Where the fuel island is in comparison to all the parking.....yeah. Someone just hit a truck pulling out and started to drive off. Luckily a J.B. Hunt driver caught laid on the air horn, and stopped the driver. So got all the info and all for this other driver that got hit. Thankfully there are still good people out here even though they are few and far between. Good job, driver! They do not want the edges damaged. If the edges become damaged it reduces the available yield from the roll.

When I was shearing plate to convert to can ends or bodies, a damaged edge can cause the loss of the entire coil.

Absolutely not trying to make any drivers feel bad whatsoever! Other than the a-holes that hit another truck/trailer and drive off. Just trying to show how bad this place actually is! I guarantee I wouldn't be able to back in here either. I felt bad for this Western Express guy. He had such a hard time trying to back in, so he tried to pull into another spot and got himself stuck. Luckily others came to the rescue. I would if I had enough experience to be able to help someone else get out of a bad situation though. I get the frustration though when you just can't seem to get it.

They don’t fork lift those big suckas. They overheard crane em. If they had to fork them, it would take an eternity to load. A good mill can have you out in 20 minutes or less. And that’s including tarp and proper securement.

BTW, whenever you hear someone brag about putting 30 chains on a coil, he has never pulled a coil.

Your forgetting those big red Taylor lifts. But overhead crane is still the predominant way they load and unload.
