    Closest I came to that, the trailer dropped down on the drive tires. Stopped me right there.

    When we first started custom combining we had Donahue pintle hitch trailers pulled by triaxle grain trucks. I think we had that setup for about 3 or 4 years then went to straight trucks and fifth wheel trailers.

    I think our green ones were Donahues, they said “straw boss” on them.

    Ain’t ever forget to check the pin... never lose a trailer like that...

    I have, however, overshot the pin...either because my bags are dropped when they don’t need to be or the shipper jacked up the landing gear...

    Done it twice. Both times I was in a hurry and didn’t check the height like I should have...Boy does that crap suck...
