@OLDSKOOLERnWV and yes it was his idea. He makes himself the GPS a lot of times and all I do is drive. I don't actually do much of anything other than drive and open doors to the trailer actually
Oh yeah not to mention I got pissed off with him last night because he told me just take I-24 WB. Okay well what about after that? Oh you have awhile which I admit I did, but then it comes to 57 (no more 24 right there). You either go 57 SB or NB. I asked and he said just stay on 24. He wasn't paying attention which I didn't care but don't tell me to stay on something that is no longer a road unless you want to be sleeping in the ditch (just an expression lol....no worries). So I just made my own decision and took NB toward Chicago. Then I decided I would go from there. I know general cities along the way to know what interstates I need to take (if it would've been state routes that's another story). Well later he wakes up and asks where we were at. I told him 57 NB approximately X miles from Mt. Vernon and X miles from Chicago (approximately btw). He said to take 70 when it comes up I said okay and then he said wait nevermind take 64 which will turn into 70. Okay. Anyways, that was the whole deal last night. Drove up until I had an hour and 45 on my clock. Stopped at the last rest area in MissouriLast edited: May 12, 2022

Okay I tried to be smart and look up the whole transfer case and what it is, and then it mentioned drivetrain which I thought was the engine but it isn't so I looked that up and then got more confused. But the transfer case takes power from.....I forgot what and with the driveshaft gives power to the rest of the wheels I guess?? I suppose that is only for four wheel drive on regular cars? The drivetrain consists of a bunch of different parts that work together apparently. The driveshaft is that big hollow tubing that usually is underneath the catwalk I know that.
God I really sound dumb after this.jamespmack, CAXPT, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Made it back to Fort Smith to take this ridiculous ELDT Training for HazMat just to be able to take the written exam.
Supposed to be 4hrs training (I've read the book already) and 164$. Paid the 164$ and they handed me the same book the DMV gave me.
Told em I'd already read it, give me the exam.
15 minutes in and out. $164 for some ridiculous lobbyists donating money to candidates, making this BS included in legislation.
At least they didn't waste my 4 hours.jamespmack, Flint1, pete781693 and 8 others Thank this. -
Where it says trucks to 64, you can make a right and go over 2 blocks and make a left, roll straight down passed Heiners bakery and around the corner right up on to 64….. no tight bridges, no low underpass….jamespmack, Flint1, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.
