I believe you are going to have to re-evaluate your approach on the load tracking.

now, Combined Transport is maybe one of the cheapest brokers out there and their rates rarely justify hauling their loads. Having said that, you are doing specialized work now and electronic tracking is a very common requirement- note I didn’t say request. Want to haul new cat equipment or new Deere equipment? That load is going to require tracking.

as for the check calls - you are a brand new authority and my guess is that some brokers will be extra cautious about using your company.

it is no real sweat of anyones ### to make a couple of calls or take a couple of calls. They aren’t in the middle of the night…

sorry to be the one to tell you this, but this is a battle that you won’t win and is probably not worth fighting.

i do agree to a certain extent. the main reason I asked for money is because of what is in the carrier packet. I have used tracking on loads before and would do it again. but not when the carrier packet says they can withhold your entire money if you dont use it and then charge you a fee on top of that. thats ridiculous and I will not work with a company that says #### like that... as mentioned about the check calls. i have no problem with check calls and will do it even when its not required. i've been in business for myself for a couple years and have built good relationships because of simple stuff like that, regardless if i have a new authority or not. This isnt my first day in business. I dont let people or brokers drag me around.

I have never missed a crane appointment and never will come hell or high water...they are the ones that are always late. but since its "specialized" were supposed to just bend over? I will charge them fees right back when they waste my time, just as they do to me as well.. I dont understand the mentality of just put up with it, but so many guys give away their services and time for free.

You are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Guys are giving away their time? It doesn’t cost you any extra time. Fact is you gave away your time with this fiasco and didn’t get paid. @Rontonio is trying to be helpful. I was willing to let you figure it all out on your own. But like he said… do as you wish, but you are getting off to a rocky start in this game.
