I’ve drug Army 6x6’s up the side of a mountain where they would only spin on their own power, it doesn’t really bother me to be honest. What does get your attention is when no wood is involved with only steel lol, I’ve had them slide like a hog on ice.

When a track machine creels over then slides it will make your gut jump lol. With an excavator I usually set the bucket out behind the trailer when unloading, or out on the trailer when loading to take the sudden tilt out of it. Many can’t use their feet and hands at the same time on an excavator though, I don’t have that problem.

What’s dangerous as hell is trying to load with frost on the trailer, or muddy tires, especially if the trailer is leaning to one side. Both can be overcame if there’s gravel around though.

Same way around here , smaller loaders also cat 943 and 953 bring a premium. It's because smaller contractors can move them on trailer behind dump truck. It's whats selling good .

Man that owns this equipment does excavation plus buys and sells equipment. I was telling him last night how another customer said he’d like to find a D3 or D4 around $20K. Guy just laughed and said good luck, unless it’s not running or undercarriage is wiped out…..

Look into channel drains. This one is only 2.5" and it handles the rain we get here in Florida! drain.jpg

A good 977 is gold. I had one that was in pretty good shape I sold for $15k in the 90’s. Be more like $40k to buy the same machine now.
