Ooo dang, that's no good.. Get to the home 20 & rest up for sure.

Be careful. I don't know how bad the current covid strains are, but I put a little weight on it slowing my reaction time back in Sept when I jackknifed ol' Buck..

Congrats again on your authority man, that's awesome.!

The mini-split unit I have first hand experience with is from Mr. Cool DIY. It is a 12k BTU 22 seer HVAC with heat pump. This system works so darn good and they are super simple to install. I like how many options they have available to choose from too. They make a mini-split that is a perfect size for our trucks.

In the meantime I am continuing on with my install.. I am going to make a custom template out of aluminum to mount the A/C unit to the front wall of the storage under the bunk and then plumb a drain through the floor. I enjoy fabrication and making things so I plan to go overkill.

Seen a crack in the mount a while back, but it finally broke. O’l boom truck makes it nice holding the frame up to install a new one….

Not sure which I'm jealous of more. Having the boom truck, or having the [assumingly] sporadically used boom truck work when you need it without spending 3 days repairing some obscure part on it in order to repair the first thing. Personally, I'll take a couple of days off to do a small task, and next thing you know I've been home for a month and can't quite pin down what exactly I accomplished, other than fixing stuff every single day lol.

When you’re on the rail south of Slidell setting on the largest bridge owned by csx, you have to be ready to move at a moments notice when they say a train is coming lol.

I kept this truck in good shape at all times, and it never failed me. Along with the 10,700 lb boom it has a 10’ dump bed too, which is handy.

Knowing the condition of it is why I wanted it when the company shut down, it’s legal to run down the road too.

And yes it’s handy as can be, as we get older we look for ways to take the load off our back, not that I’m getting older…..:D
