I just looked those guys up myself. Their corporate address is a house in a little town south of the river east of Montreal.

 

I tend to agree for the most part.
If you want to drive a nail, just pick the hammer up and drive the danm thing in. It don’t take no special dance from anyone….

The yellow boom / dump truck is a diesel actually. Now the white Chevy in the background is a gasser, it has a new Jasper 366 big block in it. I need to get the main cylinder fixed on it, it’s a nice little crane other than the packings leaking pretty bad on that cylinder….

 

A packer I hauled for years ago had a bunch of those Chevs with 4-53’s in them. That must have been some racket to put up with.

 

Thursday not trucking funny stuff
I need to wear long sleeve shirts now working in the sun so I went online to get some more, I'm hard on work clothes no way I'm paying that much! I found a good deal on "used" uniform shirts- 12 for $30, worth a try. Turned out to be a good deal. 12 days I'm 12 different people- Steve, Vasquez, Alex, Tim, JJ...
The other day I'm working under the truck at the shop here all grungy greasy with doo rag and "Kim" shirt on and the FedEx lady rolls in with parts. I crawl out and walk over to her to get the box and she's holding it like I'm trying to take her baby from her "he want's me to leave packages in the garage....". He? Oh, I pull off my sunglasses and lid- It's me! "I didn't recognize you!"
I get a call from a guy that I was doing some on-site work for, said someone asked if they could get Armando's number to do some work on their equipment. He was pretty confused. Armando? Who the heck is Armando?

We were doing some crane work with an older twin steer tandem Grove crane a little while ago. That thing was brutal on the ears with Cummins power. I'd have been bleeding from my ears had it been a 2 stroke Jimmy.
