How about starting with a heat pack? 20 minutes on every hour. Then a trip to the massage therapist or maususe? Chiro will probably want to do xrays, your regular GP might give you three days of muscle relaxants and tell you to use heat.

Chiropractor.
Can't drive on muscle relaxers. That's the reason I haven't been taking anything stronger than Aspirin and now with uric acid so high causing gout, I can't use that anymore...but if I want to drive, I can't be taking anything 'bad' for a pee test or pubic hair test.
cke, PoleCrusher, jamespmack and 1 other person Thank this. -
Who are you going with or are you still looking? If your lived a little further south I have an onrey friend that wants a driver. I think you two would hit it off very well.
Beecke, PoleCrusher, Feedman and 2 others Thank this. -
Still looking. When I was with UACL, I was terminaled(?) in Dallas,TX.. and could park at their corp hq when going home, 2 miles from me. Otherwise, I'd never have gone down there. Same reason I lost the last job..when they kicked me out of the yard (their drivers were coming to our company.
), I couldn't work for the other company even though the agent I was working for was one of their agents.
So you're right, I don't live far enough south.
Anyway, just got a voice message yesterday that my TWIC will be coming in the next week or two, and hopefully the Hazmat letter so I can renew my license early. I just filled out an app for a local job that I really don't want to take, but considering the chicken s hits that want me to have recent tractor/trailer experience I may not have a choice. The other job possibility is driving a dump for a contractor that works for my former job.
...but it's a day job and I already told him, he'd have to drag me out of bed in the am...I am a Night Owl..period.
cke, PoleCrusher, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this. -
Lmao

His comments were that you would have to wait on your truck to be serviced or repaired since it couldn't be done on home time. Where you go to unload, will unload you if your will pull your tarps when you get there and then back under the shed. They will then reload you with the second customers no tarp stuff, which when you get out of the rack will need to be strapped. The final leg is either, (having a brain fart) orange equipment that will be multi stops or PODS that will finish up toward your house. You will come back out with PODS to line up with step one again. We have talked about you, he is interested, but it worries him you will get POd having to wait on your truck when it needs serviced or fixed. He will not pay you for this time. He might put you up in the Super 8 though.
Drop pay
Tarp pay
Winter chaining pay
Bonus for miles over 11,000 per month.
Bonus for clean inspections.
BCBS (He pays)
Dental and Vision (He Pays)
Wants his truck washed twice a month and wants it clean and fresh smelling when it is in the yard.
You MUST be a nonsmoker.
Give it some thought.

Thank you PETA representative!

cke, exhausted379, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this. -
Appreciate the thought. He means I have to bring the equipment back for him to fix but if it's on the road enroute that becomes a problem doesn't it? Staying with a truck getting fixed I already do.

Winter chaining pay - we might have a problem here. I don't chain. They're like jewelry. Look at, don't touch.
Insurance I don't really need, unless he wants to pay my medicare costs, which I'm doing now..wife has the dental and vision covered.
Love a clean truck but had to get used to running dirty since co would only pay for one, maybe a month.
Am a nonsmoker...quit in 2004.
I suspect the chaining will label me a woosie, but my philosophy is I don't get into trouble, which all chains are for..to get you out, so I sit out any storms and don't drive when the weather might be capable of putting my truck and me on the side of the road. I know how to drive in snow, on level roads, but if I need chains, I don't belong on the road. Sorry.
Thinking about it.
The chain logic is why I liked my last two jobs..they agreed.
In fact the one said if I put chains on, I'm fired.
