Follow your heart.
His deal is last winter in Wyoming, this "kid" would not throw chains for 20 miles to where the road was clean. (Late with the load, paid a late fine and lots of back side kissing.) He even offered to pay to have the chains put on and taken off. Nope, kid sat there for two days. My friend was fit to be tied.

If I didn't live here, PA would just be another state in my No-Go list. I don't leave the house to go north or east unless either my "ignorant" or "insane" quotes are met, or I forgot that I don't go that way (it happens?). Partly political, partly because in most of the states I would be committing a felony, and add a dash of horrible roads, high tolls, and lack of parking.
I almost had myself convinced that south eastern NC or north eastern SC would work, but venomous snakes and 'just recently dawned on me' gators, have me convinced to stick around the corruption state for a bit longer.cke, Feedman, PoleCrusher and 6 others Thank this. -
Always been a misconception about those yellow parts. When you count how often you actually have to buy them they’re pretty cheap.

That's why I mentioned it up front.
I'm not a kid, and throwing chains on and off is not my idea of exercise or fun.
Mostly, I just don't consider it safe, and no load especially time sensitive is going to push me into suicide. I drive and watch the weather and if I could get there in time, I would, I don't dilly dally, but I'm realistic, too. If time regardless of weather is paramount, it's something that won't go over well with me. But thanks anyway.
I mean, I used to clean the roads, so that doesn't scare me, I have a plow to slow me and a load of salt keeping me glued to the ground...but freight is different and the trailers longer...so not the same.

Ya know, it gets hotter than the devils ball sack here in AZ. Just gotta make do. One thing I have noticed is we have some of the most beautiful sunsets (my opinion) out of all the other states in the west. Came out of Target to see this:
