    I was wondering about that splitter switch. Not quite the 2 speed Eatons I’m familiar with, but whatever works.

    That has been my normal experience, loose nuts.

    Weld 2 pieces of flat stock on each side to stop it.

    That's what it is around here 2.50 + processing. If you don't know any better and look online almost all that is 5.00 or a tad more catering to city/suburb folks

    We tried that too. The drives on big power trucks would still spin them off though. Chained up out in the bush usually, but the risk was always there, even on the highway on anything steep enough.
