Well...hmm. Oregon is an open grazing state, but he has never said that he hit a steer thereby having it up on his hood. I think I would of remembered that.

I'm told by friends its next to impossible to get a butcher date. Guess more meat than butchers.

 

Just the wife and i now, and more venison than we can eat. So haven't butchered one in probably 5 years.

Our butcher only took in on Sunday after church, but never had to schedule one.

He told me last summer he was booking kill dates 8 months out.
