Spent the weekend at the Loves and the Petro in Bordentown, NJ. Finally made my delivery in East Lyme, CT on Friday afternoon after the debacle with my drivers license. I am very happy to say that I got everything taken care of and I was able to renew my Texas CDL. I had to pay the Oregon fines and I had to pay two fines in my home State of Texas that I had no idea were being held against me. All in all the total fines came out to a few dollars shy of $4,000.00 and I had to drive a 400 mile round trip to a drivers license office that had appointments available but I got it done. As I think I said before I will just have to go back to doing my monthly routine of checking the Texas Drivers Eligibility website to make sure everything is in proper order.
After spending Saturday at the Loves Bordentown I rolled over to the Petro next door to have a few tires repaired while I was off duty. I was able to have the two trailer tires fixed with easy flat repairs but the leaking drive axle tire turned out to be a compromised wheel instead of a flat repair. On the inside of the wheel there is an area that appears to have made contact with something that created the leak and I had to buy a wheel from Petro. Luckily they had a couple of 24.5" wheels in stock. I could have saved some money by waiting until tomorrow morning and shopping around but for the sake of convenience I just let Petro take care of it all tonight.
Gonna lay back the rest of the night and watch a movie or maybe some stand-up comedy before hitting the pavement in the morning. Yall be safe and have a good ride. Here is a pic of the wheel as well. I highlighted the two areas that were leaking. Both appear to be some kind of puncture wound in the steel.Last edited: Aug 15, 2022
