Those cracks are from a couple years ago in an incident we won’t talk about at the moment.....

Gillette, WY at the get off ramp to the POE he lights me up. No shoulder with reflectors on both sides. The POE is Under the overpass on the other side of the freeway. So I pull over as best I can on the ramp. Takes my DL, permit book and BOL and inspects my ELD. Asked where I’m coming from and where I’m going. I tell him it’s right there in the bill..... from somewhere WY to nowhere, WI.

Ok he says head over to the POE.... there’s only one way in and one way out but I don’t have to scale.

So I pull around and I got 2 choices..... empty lane or scale lane. I pick scale lane and get the green and pull around into parking spot.

He is pissed that I scaled. “ I told you not to scale!” I said well I got a red then green so I scaled because I’m loaded. He says “ the scale is closed and there no one in there. Wait right here I’m going to do a level 3.”

A few minutes later he calls me over and asks “ where your authority?” I said “my MC number, DOT number, Ifta?

    “No, I need your authority!!!

I don’t understand what your looking for?

    Apparently neither dose he?

    He wanted my Intrastate authority.

I said “ I’d only need that if I pick and deliver in same (WY) state right?

He says “nope if you pick OR deliver in WY you need it!)

Needless to say the scale master agreed with me. Boy was he pissed.

After 1 hour and 5 min at the scale plus the time at the ramp I got a clean #3.

What are they teaching these Kidd’s?

Yeah, I’m right there with ya. If I was in my normal lanes I would of bounced in a heartbeat. However, I’m 1400 miles outside my lane. I had deadhead 80 miles out of route to get there and there were no other delays to get loaded.

I let my business since override my principles this time. Voiced my opinion on the operating practices of there company and tarped out on the road.

They are on my list with the other 3 now though.

Had a little fun with Monster today. After talkin with the "man". I was rollin up the wva. Tp. Started up the hard pull just north of last service plaza. Half way up i pass one of the pipe lines heavy haul trucks. Now what i had on compared to what he had on, i was alot more Um say bigger? He hollard at me and asked what I got under the hood ? I replied "just a yella motor" after we got in the flat land we caught up with another one of Their trucks. The other driver was laughing bout how the driver I passed stated how I spanked him on the hill when he was talkin on the phone with him. We all had a good chuckle. He thought he was doing good with his 600 ISX till I came Wizz in by. LOL

Spent my day buried in bumper to bumper traffic. Don't know how I kept it together, but I did. KIMG0233.jpg
