Maybe I'm doing things wrong. Maybe not putting up with others BS. IDK. I do know i work my a'ss off to take care of what i need to, and expect roughly the same.

Unloaded this morning in LA, ran to TX for some pipe. Little dirt lot hadn't tasted rain in a bit, but stormclouds were on the horizon.

Thinking I'd likely get stuck if the rain hit, I had finished and pulled out just as it started. Made it 50 miles up the road when the broker called. Boss man showed up and they loaded the wrong pipe.

Ok. Turned around and headed back. Got back and as I pulled in, my steer tires just slid right along. No way i was pulling down the hill around back.

Backed out and squared up in their driveway. Walked up and told "bossman" i wasn't pulling in. They would have to unload and reload right there.

After lots of words back and forth, they sent the wheel loader out to unload me. I had already unstrapped.

They pulled one load of pipe off, then "bossman" walked over and said they weren't unloading anymore. I HAD to pull around back.

Told him again i wouldn't, and more storms on the horizon. He said "ok", and walked off. I went back and let him know i would chain up and leave.

He wouldn't even talk. Broker acted like it was all my fault.

I'm sittin at home with 2/3rds of a load of pipe. Called the Sherrifs office before leaving to let them know i wasn't stealing anything.

E-mail them both. Tell them what outrageous demurrage they’re eating while they find an acceptable place to unload the truck, or cross-load it onto an oilfield truck that’s made to go in places like their yard. Take lots of pictures of the load. And when it comes off make sure they sign and print, and take a picture of whoever signs for it. Then invoice both of the mother####ers for it, and don’t be shy about sending those invoices for collection. Light your bonfire with that brokers phone number and enjoy your weekend.

Before you head back down there, call your lawyer. Have him advise you as to the correct action at this time.

Made my invoice last night when i got home. I'm gonna unload it this morning myself. They can figure out what they what they want with it from there.

They send another truck, I'll load it for them.

I'm not going back. That's one reason the broker lost her mind. She emailed 4 hours later and I called her. She said "I've found a resolution. The owner is there and he will unload you"

Keep in mind this is 4 hours later. I told her it was too late. I had been there, on their property, and they refused.

I was already into Arkansas on my way home.

I took pics and let her know right away when they refused. Rode down the road and spent an hour moving and securing the pipe. Called her again and no answer, so I emailed her and let her know I was leaving.

Don’t know what the rest of your day is going to be like, but you won’t have to face it on an empty stomach.

Our parent company is a large regional paving/concrete construction company. We get a break on shop labor so other than engine work it goes here. Sometimes you get sidelined if a paver or mixer goes down and its needed right away but for $55 an hour, I'll wait.

You can send ur coi from progressive directly online and do it urself... Just go on to the "documents" webpage and find coi. You can enter the broker info and either email it or download it... If you email it just put in brokers email and it will send directly from progressive, they will never know it was u ... Although i noticed the last broker i worked with used a 3rd party company to do their carrier contract and set up part... They wanted to contact progressive themselves to get the coi. Good luck i told them... They will take days to respond... I just sent a coi directly to the broker so they had it on file for the time being
