I know how you feel @Tug Toy . Early 90’s I hauled a 80 foot bridge crane out of Milwaukee to Jackson Mississippi. Got down there on Friday afternoon and the riggers had just went home. I unhooked from the stretch trailer and went back to do a final check on things when I see a pile of rust on the fifth wheel. I sure thought that was odd till I looked under the trailer at the king pin. All busted out. I got very lucky also

On the red truck; today I'm in the white one which is muffled.
I never felt like my red truck was all that loud, until I started driving this one. I do think I am convinced that I will put mufflers on that red truck. I can hear people on the telephone, I can have a conversation with a passenger, at the end of the week I don't have tinnitus lol

Been thinkin about mufflers myself. Guess I’m gettin old.
Problem I’ve got is I’m pretty sure a KW muffler will be right in the way of the PTO drive shaft. That’s why I asked you a while back about the ones you drive into the pipes.

The new pipes will be bigger diameter than these 5’s, I’m hoping that’ll tone it down.

The cab style I have the mufflers are on the uprights, so there's no interference.

You could just set your truck up the same way....
Delete the undermount muffler run a y pipe, put mufflers with heat shields up the sides...?
