    I have had 3 DD16 motors in a row a 565/1850 and 2 600/1850.

    other than losing the. Compressor with 38k on this latest one - I have had virtually no issues including emissions. I run them to around 300k and trade. I also have first hand knowledge of at least 2 other guys that run heavy with the 600/2050 motor and they also have had almost no issues. They run theirs longer closer to 450k


    The jakes aren’t ridiculously strong and you won’t be the first to the tip of hill heavy but you will get there. That is my experience with the DD16.

    2018 4900sf heavy 3 axle 244” WB was 600/1850 22918B plus a 4 spd A box with 4.30 rears on 52k neway- best truck I have ever had and would love to have it back. I ran 10/11 axle with it and never an issue even in lower BC. Not the crazy BC you run but it made it up several 10% grades with me driving it - so I’m skilled hands you can probably go anywhere

    These will only be 7 axles, with wide skis on the front to keep winters exciting when trying to turn ;)

    I love reading. Hard to find the time. Same with drawing, haven't picked up a pencil since last winter.

    the ride is fine - not Cadillac but not bone crushing

    the neway picked up my big trailer short necked with ease - so that was a win for me.

    Alllison and spicer limit my torque to 1850 - so that is what I order.

    At 130k pulling blades - I would get about 3.5 Mpg and returning at around 70k empty I got around 5-5.25 mpg
