My wife is able to rest. Not in our bedroom but on the couch, as long as I'm right here with gun at hand. She can't sleep unless I have it.
I really do appreciate all the encouragement from everyone. Even all the Sheriff's deputies have told us they are impressed that we lived through it, and we did everything perfectly. It was God's grace, I know he would have killed us without it.
Six posted about how this type of thing affects women, and I can vouch first hand that it's true. It's much worse for my wife, but her toughness is starting to come through.
Now most of us here are men, and some of the best. Im not one to bare my soul, just a warning. Don't be fooled into thinking being a man will relieve you of some of the worst mental hell you'll ever walk through.
Where is everyone #5

That's impressive. 1.3mpg better than what I got this Qtr. I wonder what I could get if I lived in flat land country? The mid roof with the van isn't doing me any favors either.
All my light 7-20k outbound loads are more downhill than up. And my 38-44k loads coming back have more grades Lol
Edit. My uncle's 84in classic condo with the 500 Detroit, 3.42s on 24.5LP gets pretty much 7.0 on the dot. Running loaded 1 way 95% of the time. The few months I drove for him it was pretty much 7mpg no matter whatLast edited: Nov 1, 2022

That last paragraph, yep. If that that happened to me I would have to go on some anti anxiety medication or something for a few months.
No one should ever have to go through that but later in down the road she may be able to help someone else that's been in the same position and give guidance/hope -
@PoleCrusher
Consider something like this. We have a chamberlain system. You can add up to 6 sensors to creat a perimeter around your property. Each sensor makes a different sound to identify possible intruders. It sux getting up to watch the odd deer, moose or cat walk by at 3 am sometimes, but it adds to the security..

Pulled the nose up big, 2nd qtr was 6.61mpg if I remember right?
I run a few hills. All last qtr was spent in the midwest, round WI, IL, IA, MN, IN, KY, TN, GA, FL. I run i24 from Chattanooga to south IL back & forth about 6 times a month. Probably the worst is up Mont eagle?
