I worked with a guy that ate Beanee-Weenees cold right out of the can for lunch. On purpose! Carried a can opener, spoon, and a can in his lunch pail. Every day.

I kinda figured I was probably the one here that got the pleasure of using canned milk & water mixed on cereal. We had plenty milk from our own cows, but it was tough when they got in a patch of wild onions! I got the tainted onion milk so aunt Winnie could sell the good milk. I drank it little at a time, but it sure was hard to handle on cereal. Tasted like you ran the onions through a sorghum press and mixed the juice in with the milk. Canned milk was our backup lol….

    Eat them twice a month.
It was more when on the road. 2 dogs cooked over a propane stove and heat the beans in the can while chopping up the dogs. Add BBQ sauce to the beans and serve/eat.

Butter. They’d give you a case of butter (really good also) with the block of cheese.

We have all been that guy in life buddy!

Once had about 14 people on a golf cart tip me off the front and completely drive over both legs, all 4 wheels of the cart! It was Coon dog nationals, I popped up and grabbed a cold one. Was still on them rest of the week. Monday was a sob getting up and down on a creeper. First I felt it.

Not sure if I wanna talk about road skiing!

Some of that aint bad at all. Took me years to know cheap white bread wasn't hot dog buns, hamburger buns. You ate white bread with butter with every meal too. Filled you up faster.

One thing, mom and dad always had beef, freezer full of beer. It stayed stocked. Steaks were pretty normally when you eat 2 half of beef a year. Now getting fast food or spam was difficult. Dad wouldn't let you get cheeze on a fast food burger because .10 cents for a slice of cheeze was ridiculous. Wouldn't trade my childhood for anything.

The cookie sheets of grilled cheese to feed neighbor kids and mom did always make cookies and some top notch brownies. We didn't know what we were missing.
