From what I have seen of your work ethic and business sense I don't see how you can go wrong

No, no, I was just stating it to reinforce my pride. I likely should have said it in the first place, but didn't.

I have several friends that are teachers, my wife volunteers with a private school that uses non-conforming teaching techniques to actually teach the kids real life skills rather than just book smarts (it's a very small school, but the owner wants it to grow into something much bigger). They spend more than half the day outside, exploring the woods behind the school, learning about plants, animals and other things, while still fulfilling the standard curriculum requirements.

I wasn't really convinced when my wife first started volunteering with them (she's chair of the board of directors), but then I saw the kids all playing together, actually playing and not looking to dive nose deep into a digital world on a phone, and I'm really interested in our future kids one day attending. It was really eye-opening to see, what was essentially what I experienced back in the early 1990's in school. Real "fun" outside.

They don't put on "kid gloves" for anything. You want to climb that tree? Go ahead, climb it right to the top, but you might fall, so be careful. And when they fall? Go on, you'll be okay, get up and try again.

And in my experience, life isn't about learning how to calculate the answer to a trigonometrical equation, or writing a 10-page essay about some historical figure. It's about living life, enjoying life and learning to be a good human being that can interact with and contribute to society. Even if that person has certain disabilities or restrictions that makes it more difficult.

Everyone should get equal opportunities in life to succeed, and if they need help, it should be available, but as soon as someone squanders that help or those opportunities, then they get cut off. They can choose to be productive and a positive and integral member of the community, or, they can choose to alienate themselves from everything. Responsibility to the responsible, I've always said for a very long time.

I live by the old saying "when seconds count, the police are only minutes away". And trust me, most cops aren't prepared either from fitness to defense training, once out of the academy they hit cruise control.

I have always liked Woodrow Calls words of wisdom "Better to have that and not need it as to need it and not have it"
Though I never have one on me, thankfully I seem to be handy at not being in the wrong place at the right time.

13 days out this round, glad I had a couple lull days or I would be beat. Recovery from a couple all nighters seems to not be quite so easy any more. Finally stirring after the daylight delivery. Think I wanna see what Mama is cooking for supper, I'm sure whatever it is I'm buy-in LMAO. C'mon ol long hood puff a lil smoke, take us home
