Went to a powerlifting event recently. First one for me since @2005. The gym is supposed to be one of those hard core places and so all the people, women included (I think they were women…well, they identified as women) walked and moved as if they were Robocop with a bad hip replacement. Okayyyyy…

Hard fact: if you cannot balance, you cannot lift. It is a built in safety mechanism for human. This is why you can see these people that go to a gym and lift all day, but that strength doesn’t help them at all in every life. A guy can bench press 400lbs but can’t hit a home run, can’t fight, can’t gorilla press another person to throw him through a window, can’t pick up an engine block or lay under a car and press a transmission into place, can’t swing an axe or hammer. So, what’s the point, right?

Anyway, the reason why I bring this up is because if you are going to spot someone on a lift, the thing that you watch for is whether or not they can balance the weight. On the bench and squat, you start at the top and lower the weight. Lowering the weight is called the negative rep. You are stronger on the negative. Like balance, it is a built in safety mechanism for the human body. If they are struggling to balance the weight on the negative, prepare for them to totally lose it on the positive rep.

Id wager that 25% of the competitors lost control of the weight. It is amazing that no one got severely injured. Robocops never learned how to spot. Weight comes crashing down and Robo is standing there spectating. I am yelling, “GET THE WEIGHT OFF OF HIM!!!!!!!”

I am surprised that I am not hoarse.

I don't know how people can whip out their phones and be recording for most of the stuff I see. By the time I get the phone in my hands oriented correctly, unlock it, get to the home screen with the camera, get it open, then slide from photo to video and get the button to start recording, everyone is already home sleeping lol. Not to mention, if a big cat is stalking me, the phone ain't what I'm after. People say that you can just swipe for quick access to camera, but half the time, when I try to do anything quickly, I just end up opening ApplePay lol.

Low Low Air, AKA, Air Glide 210, AKA Twisted Sister, AKA Kenworth AG400L, same setup as is on my truck.

I do already have interaxle lock, but a full locker on the rear would come in handy. With a set of 3 rail on a locked rear, it should be a tank. I usually just wait until the fields are dry or the snow is melted though lol, just depends on how far from home I am.

Was a long day yesterday. Got the top end tore down in about an hour and a half, and i finally hooked back up to my trailer at 12:15 this morning.

Had some issues with the new rocker shafts, and one of the new injectors had a broken screw on the solenoid where the harness attaches. So my day turned long.

Nontheless, we're rollin again with a bunch of new parts, and plenty of waste papers in the log book.

    See ya tonight, Utah
