Where is everyone #5

Lots of layers.
Loading the car hauler in the winter I had 3 or 4 sets of gloves and rotated em from under the heater as they froze. Nothing much worse then cold trucks, chains and a frozen winch bar.
Coldest I loaded in was -52c, -65c with the wind. 2 hours north of fort McMurray. I left every vehicle on the trailer running for the 7 hour ride home.

 

Yup! Whatta day! Had ol Friday snowmobiling today. Hit the ditch in blowing snow...I kept her upright!! and just got home. Minor fence post scratches is all I can find in the dark.

 

Dam! Upright and no injuries it's all good.
I hauled another contractors bus out of the ditch last week. He had the coolest rope I've seen. 1.25" 44klbs rated bungee strap. No shock load, and the stretch really helped. Needless to say I bought one.
You use a tractor or a wrecker?

 

Nope. Clipped barb wire out of the way reversed into the field and headed fer the gate. 8 inches powder in the fields.

 

For whomever stumbles upon this in time, I-40 WB is shut down at the NC/TN line for a wreck currently. I don’t know any details on it, but NC DOT had the electronic signs advising it for 45 miles before I shutdown here at Exit 24. Still closed 30 minutes after parking. Don’t end up on the news trying to be a hero on those mountain backroads if you try to route around it

 

I just dont understand wtf they are thinking? So, your not use to trucks and you drive in and it stops. Ok, you messed up. Stop get out and look and figure it out. Common sense. It's just so lacking these days. I just dont understand.

 

Biking weather!!

 

A local construction magnate is building a big house in Costa Rica. It helps that he and his two kids fly and can be there in 4 hours. 75°-85°F year round is sounding good right now when they're talking sub-zero temps and blizzard conditions tomorrow.

25⁰ American this AM. Im wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Rumor is that 7⁰ will be high over weekend.

 

34 here in Buckeye, AZ. Time to put another log on the fire.
